Northern Territory Government supports Raindrop

Today was a truly special day for Raindrop, marked by the official announcement from Northern Territory Government we are one of five recipients of the 2025 Business Innovation Program (BIP) .

We're deeply grateful for the support of the NT Government's BIP. This funding is instrumental as we work to scale Raindrop right here in the Territory, developing our AI-powered platform to simplify insurance policies.

Minister Robyn Cahill OAM MLA MBA from Department of Trade, Business and Asian Relations says innovation provided the foundation for new businesses and new jobs would help drive economic development. “The Finocchiaro CLP Government promised 2025 would be a year of action, certainty, and security, and we’re delivering by backing local businesses with targeted support to drive the commercialisation of innovation forward," she said.

“Raindrop is a fantastic example of local entrepreneurs developing a solution to a global issue and quickly translating complex insurance into easy-to-understand language.
It's innovative businesses such as this which will help rebuild our economy, which is another promise of our government."

As our CEO and Founder, Jasmin Flori-Hess, shared:

"Raindrop builds a platform that decodes and analyses insurance policies. A solution that takes the complex data, runs it through the industry-first Insurance trained AI model, and delivers Drops of clarity. Insurance professionals trust Raindrop because it is trained on the basis of their data and verified by their peers. This explainability is key in developing an AI solution in today’s market of generic AI model offerings that sound convincing but are not accurate.”

“We hope to continue working with the government as we scale in this multi trillion insurance market. We're proving that you don't have to leave the NT to pursue a successful tech career. We want to attract more skilled workers in the Territory.”

The Array [ ] has been a game-changer for bringing the community together of super clever and creative tech developers that help each other build innovative solutions, and we feel fortunate to be part of this co-working community. Just to mention a couple Superstars: Taneille Brann and Dylan Bennett

And last bust not least - THE TEAM! All five Raindrop staff from Darwin wore our branded shirts (from local Saltwater Merch Shaun Edwards) loud and proud. CTO Steve van Bodegraven, Software Engineer and problem solver Declan Smyth and our two data champions Mit Dinh and Kevin Vo showed up even though had Charles Darwin University lectures. Thank you!
